Look at these Pinewood Derby cars! I’m guessing you can tell which one is Jeans and which is Max’s. They won second and third place in the race! The tradition continues as it did with our boys. In fact Max’s car looks nearly identical to one of his Uncle Chris cars from the 90’s!

I would be remiss as a grandma without sharing creations made by my ginger army aka grandkids. I FaceTimed them during my crop and showed them what a crop is. They shared with me their creations they made that day. Max made 3d printed dinosaurs and filled clear balloons with water and a Dino. He referred to them as his dinosaur eggs. He placed them in the freezer where they froze solid. Pretty clever 6 yr old! I asked him what they would do with them. He responded “daddy says we will take them outside and SMASH THEM! 🤣  Meanwhile Jean, who is 8, fashioned her own designer outfits and jewelry for her Barbie’s made solely from balloons! Don’t you get a kick out of how she posed them? Impressive - love the happy birthday one! Sadie showed me her drawings due was working on too. I so love that they enjoy crafting as much as I do. I send them crafting supplies whenever I can. They know when I come to visit that we will be crafting and they look forward to it. They have their first Pinewood Derby coming up for scouts- can’t wait to see their cars.

I returned from my 3 day crop,  Scripture and Scrapbooks, or as I call it “Scrapping with the Bro’s” at the Benedictine Monastery in Schuyler Nebraska. Three days of fun, creating, hanging with my crafty friends, good food and yes, wine! It is so quiet and peaceful there and we always get a lot done, or so we tell ourselves! Outside it was snowing, blowing and below zero but we were toasty inside. I completed about 20 or so layouts. Many had photos of my ginger army so I have yet to blur their faces before posting. Man, that slows me down but I respect their parents wishes and understand. They are so adorable though! Now that my arm is in a cast, I’m not quite sure how removing them from album pages to photograph will go. I finished another 6 pages of  their Christmas Cookie baking using the CTMH  Freshly Baked workshop kit. Those turned out beautifully and quickly. It will be interesting to see how I can create with one good arm now! I’ve done it before so I’ll figure it out. Here’s a couple photos of our crop and an in process layout I was working on.

Valentines from my scraps and the February Stamp of the month.

January 2023

Deck the Palms is a fun tropical kit from a CTMH December 2021 special. It was perfect for our Florida trip! Those flamingos are so adorable 🦩

What a fun layout using CTMH Pumpkin Spice kit papers. It’s a retired paper kit from last year and I was anxious to use my scraps to create this layout. Lots of thin cuts and stamping. All products are Close To My Heart.

The details- stamped then used our tricolor markers to color and shade. All Close to My Heart products.

I’ve been procrastinating making this for months. It’s my first chalked door hanger. I wanted a simple black and white for between seasons. I gotta say…..I ♥️ it!  I am getting better at bows too. They no longer intimidate me 😂

A simple get well card. Love the stamp. Link to it is on my home page

I had fun with these layouts and using up scraps of different retired CTMH paper kits. The S´More layout is one of my favorites. I’m working on layering embellishments and this was a fun one to play with. Used up some Picture My Life cards too…I’m no longer hesitant to cut them up as I they fit in.

December 2022
Here’s a synopsis of December artwork; there was painting, chalking, fleece throws, tons of tags (all Close To My Heart stamps), and ornaments.
Hand painted trinket boxes- these were so fun. I stamped names on the top for each child.

I decoupaged this one with CTMH paper. Love it

Fleece throws for the kidlets!

October 2022
I made this seasonal door hanger for Halloween from a clearance piece of wood from Michaels. I chalked the pumpkins, bats and webs. Bow making is a challenge for me but I think this one came out nicely!

These are very old kits but left them because, if you’re like me, it may provide a creative spark.
Layout using Tommy paper kits from 2013 Spring/Summer catalog:
Use for sailing, boating, beach, summer, picnic, July 4. I love the canvas compliments and matching cork accessories.

Just finished my first EXPRESS COLLECTION in /studio j- Love it! All i did was drag my downloaded pics to the photo wells and add text. All the design work was done- fast! I liked that I could chose change the paper color and edit the titles to be what I wanted because sometimes they did not fit my photos- that was pretty cool! Here are some of crazy friends as we celebrate our friend Rachel's 89 birthday.

I think my Art Chicks layouts came out super cute.

Here is a layout we did at convention using the flirty paper and stamped then colored the roses with the alcohol makers. Love the stamp set and the markers......anyone can be an artist!

Here are a couple of layouts I recently did using the CTMH Avonlea paper kit.  I like the look of the black/white photos on this paper. Please look at the layouts and not my cockeyed photo technique. Need to find a good place to take photos with natuaral light and lined up straight. :)

This single page below layout was made using just cardstock and no patterned paper, as well as 3 of our new colors; Slate, Cashmere & Ruby. The floral patterned squared are stamped using one of our new stamp sets. I was not crazy about it until I used it and now I use it often. The title is our new chipboard letters with a houndstooth resist pattern. I sponged slate ink on them and the pattern appears- love it. I also am in love with the new CTMH Slate Satin Polka Dot ribbon. It goes with so many colors. Check out the glitter embellishments- all CTMH products. The babies are my adorable grand nephew Ethan and grand niece Kebra along with their mom and dad Cassie (Kebra) and Robert (Ethan).
Hope you enjoy.
