Valentines Day Cards

 

 Valentines Day is coming quickly. ♥️ Have you done yours yet? I just finished the Ginger Army’s cards today. I have to say, I am pretty happy with how they came out. Sometimes I use patterns or ideas from other makers and sometimes I just wing it. This time I winged it- 100%.  I challenged myself to use all scraps for this cards. Look how stinking cute scraps can be! I Í pulled out my scrap bin then pink, coral and lavender ink pads,stamps and my Valentines and spring stamps. I used the upcoming February stamp of the month #S2302 Springtime Borders. The rainbows and rows of hearts were stamped using that. The remaining stamps were from other retired stamps. 

I had a little trouble getting started but once I did, they took off. I used ink colors; ballerina, flamingo, raspberry, cotton candy, Lilac and grape. I also sparkled them up with a clear shimmer brush. It’s hard to tell in the photos but the clear shimmer is on there in many places. I like that it’s subtle.  The Springtime Borders is available during February only at debbahr.CTMH.com

Check out this new website!

 I am SO EXCITED so announce that my oldest, Marshall has started a blog and website. I am so proud of this guy. There are family photos, a military section,  fitness section with an excellent post on his fitness philosophy (which is eerily familiar 😊). He is just getting started but there are so many of his achievements listed, as a Ranger, med student and physician, articles he has published etc. Let’s get him a big surge in views to get  his blog noticed  Please follow up with a visit to his blog.  Last trip of 2021 finished! Onto the Christmas layouts tomorrow…..

Snowstorm on the plains!

There is not much that I enjoy more than a good old Nebraska snowstorm. Nevermind that Mike is in Wisconsin this week, I’ll be crafting, getting my miles in outside, clearing the driveway and enjoying a fire and having all the toilet seats down. Sure I miss him but Í feel like a kid on vacation. Lol   I was up early, ran 3.5 miles, salted the driveway and sidewalks, fed the squirrels and lunch….all before noon. My plans;

And of course…..CREATE! 

 Created this beauty today to showcase our RV, MystcGypsy, against the brilliant fall colors in Decatur Alabama. I used the Pumpkin Spice paper kit, cardstock is following colors: harbour, paprika, papaya, sunflower. The Pumkin Spice thin cut fries and stamps created the boots, sweaters, gourds, flowers and scarves. The leaves were cut using another fall thin cut die. All from CTMH. I saw a similar layout by another Maker using the circle pattern and knew this was what I wanted to do to showcase this photo. I spattered nectarine with a watercolor color brush on the white daisy cardstock to add a little contrast to the stark white. 

 I absolutely love this Paper Hug stamp. It worked perfect for a get well card I made yesterday. I added some dimension to the arms with watercolor pencils.
